In short
- Use Pinok for real work with people who expect to work with you.
- No illegal content, malware, spam, harassment or attacks on the service.
- Rate limits exist, but they aren’t permission: don’t flood people with invites, mentions or nudges.
- If something breaks these rules, we may remove it or suspend the account, and we will tell you why unless the law or someone’s safety prevents it.
What this covers
This policy applies to everything people put into Pinok (tasks, notes, comments, files, photos, names, workspace logos) and to how they use the apps, the web app and the API behind them.
Nothing illegal or harmful
- Nothing that is illegal where you are or where we are, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
- No child sexual abuse material, ever; we report it to the authorities.
- No malware, phishing pages or other harmful files.
- Nothing that threatens, incites violence against, or exposes the private information of real people.
No spam or harassment
- Invite only people who expect to hear from you. Invitations are limited (50 a day per person), but the limit isn’t permission.
- Don’t use @mentions, hand-offs, nudges or approvals to harass or pressure people.
- Don’t use the contact form or sign-in emails to send messages to people who didn’t ask for them.
Don’t attack the service
- No probing, scanning or testing for vulnerabilities, except as described under Reporting a vulnerability.
- No guessing sign-in codes, getting into accounts or workspaces that aren’t yours, or getting around access rules or limits.
- No load testing, and nothing meant to slow the service down for others.
No scraping or reselling
Don’t scrape Pinok, create accounts in bulk or by automation, or resell or rebrand the service. Pinok has no public API yet; using the private one from your own scripts is at your own risk and may stop working at any time.
Shared links and other people’s work
Your calendar feed’s link and the links to files are meant for you. Don’t publish them, and don’t take other people’s content out of a workspace to share it where they didn’t expect it.
Sensitive data
Pinok isn’t designed for special categories of personal data such as health records, or for payment card numbers. Please don’t store them in it.
What we do about it
Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close an account or a workspace. We will tell you what we did and why, and give you a chance to respond, unless the law or someone’s safety prevents it. If you think we got it wrong, write to us and we will look again.
Reporting abuse
Tell us through the contact form (choose Other, or Security for a vulnerability). Include what happened and, if you can, where.
